My top ten favorite games of 2009 thus far

I can’t really say 2009 has been a great year for games so far, but it has certainly been better than I could have expected. We’re getting big name titles earlier on in the year, and the releases are becoming a bit more spread out. Technically, people do these kinds of lists halfway through the year. Sure, it’s more than halfway, but considering the fact that most of the biggest releases don’t come out until September, October, or November, it’s good to give the past eight months a nice look, just one last time.

My twelve favorite games of 2008

I normally do a top ten for each year, but this year was so amazing, I felt bad by leaving out a couple of really good games. As I’ve said so many times in the past few months, 2008 is my favorite year for games EVER. It had so many great releases, a lot of them sequels, and a lot of them original games that took us completely by surprise. Sure, the year had its share of disappointments, but what year would be complete without those games that let us down? Now let’s begin with a little gem of a game that actually did get the attention it deserved.
